Credit where credit's due
This website couldn’t have been created without the following technologies and communities as well as people who made these technologies possible. I think it’s fair just to mention them here, as a thank you for their efforts.
Hugo
This website is based on the static site generator Hugo. While its learning curve is rather steep, it’s a powerful tool to create static websites. In overall, I’m quite satisfied with it and I recommend it to anyone who wishes to create static websites.
The Hugo software is available under the Apache 2.0 Licence. No alterations have been made to the Hugo software while building this website.
Caddy
Caddy is a powerful, enterprise-ready, open source web server with automatic HTTPS written in Go. It’s easy and quick to set up, so I’m happy with it!
The Caddy webserver software is available under the Apache 2.0 Licence. No alterations have been made to the Caddy webserver software while building this website.
Font Awesome
The icons on this website are from Font Awesome. They are pretty awesome, so the name’s well deserved!
The icons are available under the Creative Commons BY 4.0 licence. No alterations have been made to the icons while building this website, except for the favicon, of which the original SVG icon has been converted to PNG and ICO in order to support the major browsers.
Google Fonts
On Google Fonts I have found this pretty neat webfont called “ Inconsolata”, so credits go to Raph Levien.
The font is available under the Open Font License. No alterations have been made to this font on this website.
Bootstrap
Like most websites, this one is also built with Bootstrap. Although with Bootstrap there’s the risk that there are many look-a-likes, I think this one worked out quite nicely, even if I say so myself.
Debut Dark
The background image, called “ Debut Dark”, on this website is made by Luke McDonald under the Creative Commons BY-SA 3.0 licence. No alterations have been made to this background image on this website.
GitLab
The source of this website is hosted on GitLab using a private repository. With their pipeline functionality, the static pages and resources are automatically uploaded to the Apache HTTPd webserver at TransIP (see below), which serves this website to you right this instant. Love it.
TransIP
Being a Dutch provider, TransIP gives me what I need for this website: Simple and effective hosting in Dutch data centers for a reasonable price. Therefore, many thanks to them for their hard work!
